Regenasis is Hammersmith & Fulham Council's regeneration agency based in Shepherds Bush. It was created in 1997 to manage government funding which support a number of community based projects. The Equal team within Regenasis was formed in 2001 to manage a number of training, employment and equal opportunities initiatives. These initiatives included:
  • The West London Equal programme to pilot new ways of tackling inequality and discrimination in the workplace with £3 million funding from the EU. This programme piloted 3 projects:
  • An employment and training programme funded by the London Development Agency to provide training and financial assistance to help refugees with professional backgrounds to move back into their original profession.
  • A diversity programme funded by the DTI to deliver diversity training and cultural awareness training to staff. This was in partnership with the Housing Department of Hammersmith & Fulham Council and Unison.
  • A programme of diversity training courses for all staff of Hammersmith & Fulham Housing Management Services.
  • Diversity training for Board Members of North Fulham New Deal for Communities.
The Equal Team have a good track record of working successfully with both the private and public sector on equality and diversity initiatives. The consultants and trainers have a wide range of skills , competencies and experience of delivering employability, diversity and cultural awareness projects.
