 Policy Papers

Embracing Equality is part of a wider programme that is funded by EQUAL, a European Commission initiative. The West London EQUAL Programme is led by a partnership of local authorities, colleges and voluntary organisations, from across the London Boroughs of Ealing, Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow and Hammersmith & Fulham. The programme has been devised by the partnership to promote inclusive employment practices and life-long learning.

For the final stage of the West London Equal Development Partnership we produced a number of reports and policy papers relevant to the arena of diversity and equalities:

Capturing the lessons: a report on the lessons learnt from the pilot project and the ways that national and regional policy development could utilise these lessons. Both from the perspective of helping unemployed to get jobs and ways to help employers to manage diversity effectively. See our report - Capturing the lessons >>

Procurement and diversity: paper on ways for companies to demonstrate equal opportunities in tendering for public sector contracts. See Procurement & Diversity report >>

Code of practice for employers: step by step guide for employers wishing to work with local organisations to recruit people from the local area. See Code of Practice for Employers Report >>

Evaluation Digest: The evaluation report on the West London Equal Development which outlines the outcomes and results with recommendations. See the Evaluation report - EVALUATION DIGEST
